RP 32
FIBERGLASS MILLED FIBERS

The milled fibers are added to thermosetting compounds as reinforcing fillers to improve physical properties, dimensional stability, impact resistance, and heat resistance.

ALUMINUM-ALLOY FILLERS

RP 34 Powder
This fine aluminum powder (particle size 15± microns) can be added to epoxy or polyurethane compounds. The addition of this filler will reduce shrinkage and peak exotherm temperature plus improve physical properties and machinability.

RP 37 Puffs
These aluminum puffs are an ideal filler for use in producing a vacuum chamber in a large vacuum form tool. We recommend a mixture of 25 to 50 parts RP 37 aluminum puffs to 1 part of mixed RP 4014R/RP 1500H system. Due to their size (318m to I/Lr diameter) they are very easily mixed or wet out. When used to fill a vacuum chamber or to back up a laminate for various tools, a high strength to weight ratio is achieved. No shrink or exotherm is experienced when used as recommended, and there is no limit as to the size or volume of the cavity that can be filled. Bulk density is 80 pounds per cubic foot.

RP 38 Granules
These fine (145 mesh) aluminum granules can be used to back up epoxy and glass cloth laminates. If used with a low viscosity epoxy system, such as RP 4005/RP 1500H system, an 80% aluminum to 20% epoxy ratio is possible. RP 38 is also an ideal filler material when high impact and compressive strength are required in tools such as dies, compression molds, injection molds, etc. Bulk density is 68 pounds per cubic foot.

RP 39 Grain
This filler is a mixture of various size aluminum alloy particles. A mixture of 25 parts casting resin and 50 parts grain (by weight) provides a versatile, easy pouring material for mass casting. A mixture of 80 parts grain and 20 parts resin (by weight) makes an excellent backup for patterns when used behind a surface coat and several layers of glass cloth. Grain is excellent for developing a vacuum chamber in a small vacuum form tool. A mixture of 25 parts of RP 39 to I part of mixed RP 4014R/RP 1500H system is recommended. RP 39 aluminum grain is also recommended for small vacuum form tools of 2 cubic feet or less. Bulk density is 94 pounds per cubic foot.

RP 40 Shot
This aluminum shot consists of pellets averaging approximately 3/16 inch. The pellets are easily incorporated into casting systems such as RP 4036/RP 1511 in order to control exotherm and shrinkage. In some cases, thermal shock characteristics of molds can be improved by the addition of RP 40 shot.

RP 71 PUR-TECT II
DRY PURGING AGENT

Use PUR-TECT II  to blanket opened cans of moisture-sensitive products such as REN:C:O-THANE polyurethanes. Extend the shelf  life of these moisture-sensitive products.

RP 78-2
AEROSOL RELEASE AGENT

RP 78-2 is a release agent formulated expressly for use with epoxy resins, but performs as well with polyurethanes and other resins. It forms a slick surface film and can be used on all clean, non-porous substrates. (Seal porous materials such as plaster and wood RP 78-2 may be used as a release agent for epoxy and polyurethanes from fully cured silicone molds.

RP 79-2
AEROSOL RELEASE AGENT

RP 79-2 is a semi-permanent, dry-film release agent that does not contain wax or silicone. Because the release agent does not transfer from the mold to the part, there is no effect on post-decoration of the part. RP 79-2 is particularly effective on epoxies, polyurethane and polyester resins. RP 79-2 is based on fluorocarbon polymers (Teflon@).

RP 569 Resin with RP 569-1 Hardener (fast)
RP 569 Resin with RP 569-2 Hardener (slow)
LAMINATING SYSTEMS

RENQP RP 569 resin with RP 569-1 or RP 569-2 hardeners are glass fiber reinforced laminating paste systems that greatly simplify the construction of tools or tooling aids. With these systems a tool can be produced in one operation instead of building up individual layers of glass cloth. RP 569 resin with RP 569-1 hardener is used for the construction of small tools or construction of tools where the desired thickness i s less than 1/2 inch. RP 569 resin with RP 569-2 hardener is used on larger tools or construction of tools where the desired thickness is up to 1 inch.

RP 802 SEALER

RP 802 is a green colored, lacquer type sealing agent recommended for plaster and wood surfaces. It requires a release agent such as RP 803 to prevent bonding of tooling resins to the model or to the sealer. RP 802 can be applied with a brush; however, best results are obtained with a spray application. Use lacquer thinner to dilute to a prope r spray viscosity.

RP 803
ALL-PURPOSE PARTING AGENT

RP 803 is an all-purpose, wax-based parting agent. It provides an exceptionally thin film which assures accurate pick-up of minute detail. RP 803 contains a small amount of silicone to facilitate release properties. If a non-silicone containing wax is needed, use RP 805. Maximum service temperature is 250OF (121 OC).

RP 804
WATER SOLUBLE PARTING MATERIAL

RP 804 is a water soluble parting material suitable for all-around temperature cure applications. RP 804 flows easily and may be diluted with water or a water and alcohol mixture. It is easily stripped or washed from mold or model for quick clean-up. Color is dark green.

RP 806
DEFOAMER

REN* RP 806 Defoamer Is a highly effective silicone defoaming liquid, RIP 806 Is espectaily valuable In reducing entrained alr-Induced foam in epoxy and polyurethans formulations

RP 870
A TWO-COMPONENT PRIMER

RP 870 Is a liquid, two-component primer designed for improving the adhesion of REN:C:O-THANE(& elastomers to a variety of metal surfaces. including iron, steel, aluminum, galvanized iron and stainless steel. RP 870 Primer is air-drying with a unique eight (8) hour pot life, enabling the user to prepare a full day supply at one mixing.
