| Vantico's
new machinable composite board was formulated
specifically for injection molding applications. The material provides
for milling of core and cavity insert molds from CAD data in a matter of
hours. The resulting highly accurate injection molds exhibit the
temperature, abrasion and chemical resistance needed to withstand
injection molding of hard-to-process materials including glass-filled
nylon and polyetherimide. Once mounted in standard mold bases, the tools
can be used to generate hundreds of close-tolerance thermoplastic parts
with a good quality surface finish. |
