RP 4037
Cast-It Epoxy
| This high
performance casting system is supplied in kits of preweighed and
prepackaged resin, hardener, aluminum shot and aluminum granules. Once
blended, the system can be poured over the master model to a thickness
of 12 inches to produce durable injection molds. After postcuring molds
can withstand exposure to typical injection molding pressures and
temperatures.
Vantico also has a ceramic-filled
RP 4037 epoxy designed as an economical alternative to the
aluminum-filled system. The product features physical properties
comparable to the RP 4037 aluminum-filled epoxy, however, it is not
machinable.
